NOTICE
Under the provisions of the Texas Agriculture Code, Chapter 41, the nine (9) member Texas Citrus Producers Board (Board), is conducting a biennial board of directors election ending July 24, 2020 to fill three (3) board positions. Any person engaged in the business of producing, or causing citrus to be produced for commercial purposes is eligible to vote in this election including all persons subject to paying the assessment that is collected on a refund-only basis on citrus within the following counties:
Hidalgo, Cameron, Willacy
Any person eligible to vote in the election may place his/her name in nomination for a six-year term on the Board by submitting an application signed by at least ten other persons eligible to vote in the election. Nomination forms must be received by June 5, 2020 in order to be placed on the ballot. Nomination forms may be obtained upon request at the Board’s office at 901 Business Park Drive, Suite 100, Mission, Texas 78572 or at one of the county agents’ offices listed below.
Mail ballots will be sent to eligible voters of record no later than 15 days prior to the election. Ballots must be returned in person or postmarked before midnight on July 24, 2020 to: Texas Citrus Mutual, 901 Business Park Drive, Suite 100, Mission, Texas 78572.
Any person qualified to vote who does not receive a ballot 15 days prior to the election, may obtain a ballot in person or by calling below:
